|Happy Open Enrollment 2021!!!|
It’s that time of the year again! Time to review your Health Insurance Plan for 2021!
In Pennsylvania things will be getting a little more hectic with the brand new Pennsylvania State Health Exchange “Pennie”!
That’s right, PA residents will no longer be applying through Healthcare.gov, everything involving a subsidy/tax credit will be enrolled through Pennie.
WE ARE HERE TO HELP!!!
Our goal is to provide you with great service during this busy season. Please email Joe at: firstname.lastname@example.org with a phone number and good time. We also encourage you to text Joe at 267-374-0975 or Robyn at 610-757-7809. If you call and leave a message, allow us 24 hours to respond. Eliminate phone tag, feel free to text!
So what’s new for 2021?

How about an extended open enrollment?!? This year the open in PA will be November 1 – JANUARY 15th!!!
For PA Residents, things are going to look much different with the replacement of Healthcare.gov with Pennie.com, but yes Joe and Robyn are here to help!
The Pennie and Healthcare.gov notices can get very confusing. PA has the same under-65 Individual Health Insurance carriers for 2021 as it does for 2020. Most of the plan options will remain the same but with 2021 updates and some new plan options as well.
Your Healthcare.gov information has been transferred to Pennie.com, and many PA residents can let it roll over into 2021; updating what needs to be updated (income, address, that type of thing). DON’T PANIC, you have extra time to decide this open enrollment, and we need to test the new system in real-time.
Click State Exchange Images – Go to Help and Support – Find Local Assistance – Brokers – Search “Covell”
(Search on MarylandHealthConnection.gov as well, NPN 16623825 on Healthcare.gov)
As it has become customary for us, we once again updated our website just in time for the open enrollment season, thanks to rcwebsitegroup.com
If you are healthy but sick of paying for stacked plans that include services you never use, Joe and Robyn are here to help you decide if a less-expensive option serves your needs.
Please be careful of the junk “health plans” being sold by mass-telemarketers, cleverly disguised as health insurance. Read the fine print. “Health Plans” are NOT INSURANCE and will not catch you if you fall. Protect your income and assets with insurance which includes a STOP LOSS.
The maximum length of Short Term Medical in PA remains approx. 12 months (360 Days). Click here to quote and enroll!
Short Term Medical requires that you answer medical questions, but this is the only “Obamacare alternative” that protects your income and assets with an out of pocket maximum or “stop loss”. Pair it with UHC’s Health Protector Guard for a more comprehensive plan! Quote UHC Options Now (I recommend a higher deductible Short Term with a Health Protector Guard option that fits your budget).
Joe and Robyn still have health insurance available through a few local and national associations, so for those not eligible for the subsidy and in good health – there are more options!
Independence Blue Cross is taking a 3.9% DECREASE going into 2021, which is always good news. They are discontinuing all Platinum plans and bringing in a new Gold plan! The Philadelphia 5 County’s Preferred Carrier will remain strong well into 2021. It’s hard to find a doctor who DOESN’T Accept ALL of their plans!
This is our office at 616 Easton Road, Willow Grove PA (Dallas Road is cross-street).
Oscar Health is an innovative carrier with a great phone app and new, transparent approach to helping everyone understand and feel secure with health insurance. Their Network continues to expand. They invite you to nominate your provider to join! Check out their On and Off-Exchange options here
Oscar is entering a 2nd year in the Philadelphia 5-County Region, and expanding north to include: Lehigh, Northampton, Monroe, and Luzerne Counties. We are happy to announce that they will now include the entire St Luke’s Network!
Oscar Health has a network that is still growing so you want to check providers, but they offer an advantage…their plans are EPOs. With an EPO there is no need for referrals and a Primary Care Physician is not required.
So what’s new with Centene/Ambetter? Our parent company Custom Benefit Plans, Inc. has been working with Centene in many different states, where they are often the lowest-cost plans by far. The network is still growing, so please check to make sure your providers accept the network.
Ambetter, now in their 3rd year in PA, is expanding their Philadelphia service area to include NEPA: Delaware (completing the Philly-5), Lackawanna, Wayne, Bradford, Columbia, Susquehanna, Wyoming, Sullivan, and York Counties!
We continue to work with: Highmark Blue Shield, Highmark BCBS, UPMC, Capital Blue Cross, and Geisinger throughout our great State of Pennsylvania! We continue to work with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield, Oxford, and AmeriHealth in NJ. We work with most National Carriers in most states, and many regional carriers throughout the country!

In most states it is very hard to compete with the value of the local blue cross, and in most states we have access to the local blue!
We missed connecting with the community this year at fall festivals, however we just happen to be extremely adept at virtual sales and enrollment, so we got you covered and will keep you safe.
Ambetter, Oscar, Bright Health, Cigna, Anthem Blue, and Molina are continuing to expand nationwide and are offering very competitive options in existing and new markets. My team and I assist consumers in many different states, so feel free to reach out to us and shop all our offerings right on our website.
